"We're here!" Kari exclaimed. Then she gasped. "Oh no... no, no, no! It can't be!"
"Great," I said. "What is... it..."
I gasped as well. All around the village was the same flowers from the forest. Skeletons were all over the place. The buildings were made of wood, and looked fine, undamaged.
"Oh my," Rosie muttered. "They're... dead..."
"The flowers!" Kari exclaimed. "They did this! We can't take off our gas masks at all."
"They must have starved to death, having slept for who knows how long," I said. "You can find out how long ago they died, right?"
"I've been here last week!" Kari said. "Something's going on, and I want to know what it is!"
"Quiet," Rosie whispered. "Over there, that moving yellow thing..."
I looked. True enough, there were some yellow humanoid creatures walking around. They carried a large canister or cylinder or something on their back. "Wait here," I whispered to the duo. I sneaked off into the village to eavesdrop.

"Mission complete," one of them said. The voice sounded like that of a man. "The acid gas test was perfect. For once, we finally managed to get it to affect only living beings!"
"Not to mention the flowers thrive on all kinds of acid," the other said, having the voice of a woman. "Anyone who teleports to this little village will instantly lose consciousness, and then the acid gas will be released all over the village!"
"And then more people die!" the man exclaimed. "I sense three females in the village, they're not affected by the flowers however."
"Darn it," I muttered. I took a sword that lay on the floor. Or rather, it looked like a sword; the moment I picked it up it transformed into a key!
"What the?!" the woman exclaimed. "A... Morphotronic Weapon?!"
"A what?" I replied.
"A Morphotronic Weapon... it only responds to one of THEM... we have to get out of here!" the man shouted.
"Are you insane? Our suits can't take another teleportation!" the woman shouted.
"Well, we just have to take that risk!" the man shouted. In a few seconds, they disappeared in clouds of smoke. I coughed; I don't know why since I was wearing a gas mask. The girls ran to me.
"Are you alright?" Kari asked. I nodded. "Is that... what I think it is?"
"I dunno," I said. Then black shadows rose from the ground. "WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS?"
"Shadow Imps," Kari exclaimed. "They're living shadows. Let's take them down..."
A sword appeared again in her hand (sparkles included), and she rushed to them. She was a skilled fighter. Compared to me, she was the best fighter in the group. Rosie couldn't battle, so she hid inside a house. I carefully looked at the creatures... and leaped to chop one in half with the key. Its head exploded into smoke, and the rest of its corpse faded away. This continued for several more minutes.
"Are you okay?" Kari asked me.
"Yes, I'm fine," I replied. "This is kinda fun."
"It's fun, alright," Kari said. "Up until they start breathing poison gas while you don't have a gas mask."
Rosie came out of hiding. "Well, we'll be okay from the poison gas," she said. "We are wearing gas masks, after all."
"I agree," I replied.
"True," Kari said.
In a flash of light a girl appeared. She has red hair, green eyes, a red dress, red gloves and tights, and a pair of red high-heeled shoes. She didn't have a gas mask, however. "G-Ginger!" I exclaimed.
"You know her?" Kari asked.
"You both do," Ginger said. "That nightmare you had, that was given to you by a guy named Vrenaijrian. And... as a result, I have to tell you the full truth."

We went to Kari's house, and sat around a table. "Now then. Where shall I begin?" Ginger asked.
"How about my memories?" I asked impatiently.
"No, I'll end with those instead."
"You're her Guardian?" Kari asked.
"Yes, as well as yours," Ginger said. "Listen... I know you're wondering why I'm not wearing a gas mask... but the thing is, I have a force field, it protects me from deadly gases and the like. So... any other questions?"
"JUST TELL US THE TRUTH!" I shouted, slamming my fist on the table.
"Alright then," Ginger said gingerly. "Nahona Sasame Amaterasu, and her sister Kari Yakumo Amaterasu... you two are both still alive... and reunited."
"Huh?" I exclaimed.
"What?" Kari exclaimed.
"I shall explain it to you," Ginger said. "About twelve years ago, you and Nahona turned six. You chose to go to the forest, three meters away from this very village... you two felt weak all of a sudden. A single flower - a single Slaphgenblaumen flower - was nearby. You didn't have gas masks for your parents didn't allow you to wear them... they didn't care about you at all. That's where I come in. Since your parents never gave a damn about you, I chose to care for you as best I could, though at the time I wasn't a Guardian yet. I wore a bunny costume the entire time. While you were busy looking at the flower, you realized that your sister Nahona was allergic to the sweet sent of the Slaphgenblaumen flower - she was coughing blood, and lots of it. You tried to heal her, but it didn't work. You thought she was bleeding to death, but she was only losing consciousness. You yourself passed out, unable to protect yourself from the scent. The Amaterasu bloodline limit, or as most people call it nowadays, "kekkei genkai", prevents you from dying from anything other than old age."
"And when I woke up, I was at home, but Nahona's body was never found," Kari interrupted.
"Yes, but you have to let me finish," Ginger said. "Nahona was taken to a secret underground laboratory, which was filled with a lot of poisonous chlorine gas. There were four people there - two guys, a girl, and me. Yes, I was the one who took Nahona there, and I was the one who wanted her to inhale the chlorine gas in the first place."
"WHAT?!" I shouted.
"She would only lose her memory," Ginger continued as though I never interrupted. "Before losing consciousness, she called your name... and the name of this lovely young girl." Rosie giggled. "I know not how she knew it, but I knew she had a special gift... more special than we had thought. Eventually, Nahona succumbed to the gas - in about three hours' time, I suspect. She was holding two plastic bags - one containing stockings, the other containing gloves."
"What do those have to do with anything?" Kari asked.
"Will you just shut up and let me finish?" Ginger snapped.
"Sorry," Kari said, lowering her head.
"Anyway, those clothing was given to Nahona's adoptive parents on Surfacia, North Ireland, Great Victoria Street," Ginger continued. "Once she regained consciousness, she had no idea of her memory. Sadly, she never wore the gloves or stockings... she was going to wear them at the wedding of her friend's mother, but then... her parents died. Her adoptive parents happily raised her until last week, when they were gassed with chlorine - however, Nahona survived and lost her memory again. Nahona was found in Revenue Street, Vewu Town."
"N-no," I gasped. "Th-that can't be..."
"On Surfacia, her name was Daphne," Ginger said. "She was raised as a girl by the van der Rieu family. Daphne... you are Nahona Sasame Amaterasu... Kari's twin sister."
Kari and I looked at each other in shock. It was like being punched in the stomach... a sudden shocking revelation related to my life. The fact that she was my sister...
I couldn't believe it.

O.o

That's the only way to describe my surprise, I'm afraid...

Um. When exactly would "morphotronic weapons" be explained?
